peter russell to become head of football

We’re excited to share another significant step in Harpenden Town Football Club’s journey of growth and ambition. Peter Russell has been appointed Head of Football – a key role that strengthens our commitment to building opportunity and development across the entire club, for both the men’s and women’s teams.

Peter originally joined HTFC as Head of Goalkeeping and Assistant Manager, bringing with him a wealth of experience and leadership. His coaching career began at Canvey Island, followed by establishing a football academy in Spain. He then spent six years at Cheshunt before moving on to Step 2 side St Albans City.

Peter’s appointment reflects the club’s ongoing progress and our belief in developing talent and leadership from within. We’re delighted to have him step into this role and wish him every success as he helps shape the future of football at HTFC.
