Club statement: Micky Nathan
We can announce that First Team Manager Micky Nathan has stepped down from his role at the club after six years at the helm.
Everyone at Harpenden Town FC would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Micky for his incredible dedication, leadership, passion and success over the past six years as First Team Manager.
Since joining the club, Micky has been at the very heart of our journey — guiding the team through more than 250 games, establishing our Development, U18s and Women’s teams, and helping to create clear pathways through our youth setup.
His influence has been felt both on and off the pitch, helping to shape the structure, culture, and spirit of togetherness that defines Harpenden Town today. Under his guidance, we’ve experienced unforgettable moments — from qualifying for the playoffs and memorable cup runs to the growth of our facilities and the introduction of our 4G pitch.
Through challenges such as COVID and seasons of change, Micky’s passion, resilience, and belief in the Green & Gold have never wavered. We fully support Micky’s decision to step down to focus on his health and wellbeing and we thank him for everything he has given to the club. His legacy is one of progress, pride, and genuine love for Harpenden Town.
With immediate effect, Lee Hawkes and his management team will take over the management of the First Team, continuing the strong foundations that Micky has built. We are confident that Lee and his staff will carry forward the same drive, standards, and spirit as we push towards our goals this season.
This isn’t goodbye — once Green & Gold, always Green & Gold. Thank you, Micky.
